According to the master of Homoeopathy Dr. C.F.S. Hahnemann an illness may primarily be physical or psychological. It is always a disorder of the whole system in a man. In the book ‘Organon of medicine’ Dr. Hahnemann said, ‘If the physician clearly perceives what is to be cured in diseases............ then he understands how to treat judiciously and rationally and he is a true practitioner of the healing art’ But I am sorry to say that we often fail to include essential information about the history of a patient’s origins, schooling, job, home and family life, hopes and fears, anxieties and also his emotions and sentiments. Without knowledge into these traits it is difficult for the physician to gain rapport with the patient or to develop insight into the illness. That’s why I always emphasize on the mental symptoms of the patients. From my experience I can say that mental stress or displeasure depresses metabolism and impairs the body’s immune system causing a lot of health troubles ranging from cold and influenza to heart disease and cancer or even autoimmune diseases also. So as a Homoeopath I always treat the patient not the disease. In this way I try to re-establish the holistic health (i.e. :- mental, physical, spiritual, social etc) of the patient. This is the guiding principle of my treatment of the patients. This urges me to respond to the increasing demand of quite a good number of patients to extend my services On line, particularly of those who are unable to have it due to distance or pressure of busy life. Hence I intend to open On line consultation very early.
